Suzie ShihShin Wu is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 15 years of experience working with individual, couples and families. She is a bilingual therapist speaking Mandarin Chinese and is specialized in providing culturally sensitive and holistic treatment.

Suzie is passionate about using EMDR to effectively help people in trauma related issues. Suzie uses AF-EMDR helping people to decrease the impacts from traumas and empower their ego states. As an Asian therapist often working with immigrants and minority populations, Suzie has helped people to heal from developmental, immigration, and intergenerational wounds.

Since moving from Taiwan more than two decades ago, Suzie has trained and worked in trauma-informed therapy model. Her clinical experiences accumulate from mental health outpatient clinics, Asian American mental health services, and school based bridge program with children and adolescents. She is specialized in treating depression, anxiety, PTSD, immigration challenges, parenting, and couple and family relationship. Other than AF-EMDR, she also intergrated mindfulness, Internal Family System (IFS), Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT), psychodynamic therapy, and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), compassion therapy into her work with people.

Suzie is licensed in CA and NY. She has a private practice in Berkeley where she provides both in-person and online therapy. She also provide consultation for clinicians in culturally competent interventions to Asian populations.
