I am an EMDR-trained Licensed Clinical Social Worker and psychoanalyst specializing in work with queer-identified adolescents, young and mid-life adults around the issues of sexual and gender identity, mood and anxiety disorders, substance use and abuse, and trauma. Combining my relational philosophy and my training in Harm Reduction with EMDR, I help people to improve their relationships, strengthen their communication skills, and bolster self-esteem and self confidence. I treat attachment traumas by developing a safe relationship in which we will work together to identify and optimize strengths and locate and reprocess trauma, empowering clients to discover and live as their most authentic selves.

I have over thirty years of experience working with adolescents, adults, couples and groups in school and university-based mental health programs, psychiatric units, substance abuse facilities and in private practice. I hold a BA from Tufts University, a Masters in Clinical Social Work from Columbia University, a Certificate in Psychoanalysis from the Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Study Center and completed Level I-III training in Attachment Focused EMDR at the Parnell Institute,

My style is compassionate, warm and active.
