I work with people of all ages. I provide play, individual, parenting, couples and family therapy. I am psychodynamically trained but use an eclectic approach to address each client’s needs. I am trained in CBT to work with traumatized or depressed children and adolescents. As a certified EMDR therapist I help clients struggling with PTSD, trauma, and attachment issues. I strongly believe in a mind-body connection and help my clients strengthen their emotional well-being. I believe that clients who feel empowered, learn coping skills, and gain insight will achieve physical and emotional strength and wellness.
I specialize in childhood disorders, trauma, visual impairments, low self-esteem, LGBTQ issues, and grief. As a Trauma specialist I help clients with CPTSD, small and big “T” traumas, medical trauma, and WTC trauma. I have a special interest in working with Holocaust survivors and children of Holocaust survivors. Working in community mental health for many years provided me with a wealth of experience working with all ages, diagnoses and issues. Taking insurance has allowed me to work with clients from all income levels and diverse cultures and ethnicities.
My practice can address the needs of the entire family. The office is warm, welcoming and wheelchair accessible. It is a safe environment that includes HEPA filters. It is a quiet, residential building with an elevator. I provide clinical supervision for therapists working with children, adolescents and adults.
