Michael Mulligan LMFT

One of my favorite parts about therapy is the openness to explore what you’ve been through, where you are, and where you’d like to go. It’s important that my clients feel safe and understood as we collaborate to find what is needed whether that be peace, healing, joy, energy, or whatever else you are seeking. I am experienced in helping folks with trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and life transitions.

I utilize Attachment-Focused EMDR (AF-EMDR) to process trauma or stressors. AF-EMDR is effective for PTSD and C-PTSD; it is also useful to process and move through depression, anxiety, and grief experiences. For other moments during therapy, I utilize narrative therapy to help navigate the nuances and specifics of your unique lived experience.

I would describe myself in therapy as kind, patient, gentle, and even playful when appropriate. It’s important to me that all parts of your intersectionality (gender, sexuality, religion, ethnicity, culture, age, etc.) feel welcomed and seen during our work together. Please feel free to ask me any questions.
