MI Seon Kang

My approach to therapy is psychodynamically oriented, relational, and experiential. I offer a warm, collaborative, and compassionate safe space in which AF-EMDR’s holistic approach—the use of body, mind, emotion, and spirit—can fully guide the healing process for those struggling with lasting and current effects of a big and small traumatic experience.
I specialize in working with adults and couples with attachment trauma, complex trauma, sexual abuse trauma, PTSD, immigration trauma, racial/discrimination trauma, and loss/grief.
In addition to AF-EMDR, I offer modalities such as Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Therapy (AEDP), IFS (Internal Family System), Somatic Psychotherapy, Mindfulness-based therapy, and Art Therapy based on client’s individualized treatment needs. I have also recently developed a special interest in integrating AF-EMDR as an effective tool to support people for before and after their psychedelic medicine journey.
