Debra Ruisard is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (NJ and NY) and a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor with extensive knowledge and experience working with individuals who have early childhood experiences of complex trauma. She received both her Master and Doctor of Social Work Degrees from Rutgers University. She has experience working in inpatient, outpatient, residential and private practice settings specializing in treating individuals who have experienced traumatic stress and co-occurring substance use disorders. She is trained in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (Level II) and a trained yoga teacher (RYT500), and often uses somatic interventions in her work. She is in full time private practice with Ivy Counseling Group providing both virtual and in-person sessions. She is also a part-time lecturer at Rutgers University School of Social Work.
