October 7-9, 2022 | 3-Day Training – 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (EASTERN) each day
VIRTUAL Basic Training – ZOOM PLATFORM
Trainer: Sean Frankino, LCSW
This advanced training provides the opportunity for trainees to more deeply integrate information taught in AF-EMDR parts 1 and 2 which will serve to increase their understanding and practical application of concepts, protocols and procedures. Instruction focuses on case conceptualization, target development, methods for releasing blocked processing using interweaves and ways to increase client safety throughout all phases of treatment. Participants will learn ways to work with clients with complex developmental trauma, grief and loss and recent traumas. Trainees will have the opportunity to watch demonstrations and practice AF-EMDR in small supervised groups.

Our virtual AF-EMDR trainings are held via Zoom. These trainings provide the same curriculum and rich learning experience we are known for.
Those registering need to be prepared to meet via Zoom with reliable and secure access to a computer or tablet device. We will provide you with detailed guidance and preparation to assure a successful training experience.
This course is limited to mental health professionals who are licensed to provide treatment. Through lecture, hands-on practice, and demonstrations, participants will learn to:
- Name the five basic principles of Attachment-Focused EMDR

- Construct protocols and procedures for using AF-EMDR with a variety of clients, including those with complex PTSD, grief and loss and recent traumas
- Identify techniques for working with blocked processing and strong emotional releases
- Identify how to unblock blocked processing using interweaves
- List methods for working with dissociation
- Identify methods for developing inner resources used for interweaves, developmental repair and client closure
