in Applied Psychology. She is a registered member and clinical supervisor with the Singapore
Association for Counselling.

Amy previously served as a Principal Counsellor with Care Corner Singapore, a leading
social service agency in Singapore, where she headed the Community Counselling Unit. In
this role, she counselled children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families, supporting
clients through a wide range of emotional, relational, and psychological challenges.

Amy has significant experience working with trauma, family violence, and complex
relational issues. As a qualified Family Violence and Trauma-Informed Practitioner, she has
supported both survivors and persons who use violence, helping clients understand the impact
of trauma, develop emotional regulation, rebuild safety, and work towards healthier patterns
of relating. Her approach is grounded in compassion, safety, and respect for each client’s
lived experience.

Through AFEMDR and other trauma-informed approaches, Amy helps clients process
distressing experiences, reduce the emotional intensity of traumatic memories, and regain a
greater sense of stability, confidence, and personal agency.

Beyond her clinical work, Amy has contributed to the wider mental health sector in
Singapore. As an active member of the Community of Practice for Mental Health, she
participated in the development of the Mental Health Resource Kit for Practitioners in 2014.
Amy is happily married and has three adult sons. Her professional experience, personal
warmth, and commitment to trauma recovery shape her dedication to helping clients move
towards healing, resilience, and meaningful change.
