Complete Basic training by December 31, 2021
We have important information you should be aware of about changes coming to you about Parnell Institute’s Attachment-Focused EMDR Basic training.
What does this mean to you?
- If you have already completed Parts 1, 2, and 3 of the EMDR Basic Training with a Parnell Institute trainer, this change does not affect you in any way.
- If you wish to have your Parnell Institute EMDR Basic Training recognized as approved by EMDRIA, you must complete all three parts of the training by Dec 31, 2021.
- Anyone who has already taken Parts 1 and 2 of our EMDR Basic Training must complete their 10 hours of consultation and Part 3 of the Basic Training by the end of 2021 in order to have their training recognized by EMDRIA.
- Anyone who registers now for the Parnell Institute EMDR Basic Training and wishes to have their training recognized by EMDRIA must complete the entire sequence – Parts 1, 2, and 3, plus 10 hours of consultation – by Dec 31, 2021.
If you are not able to complete the basic training by Dec 31, 2021, you will receive a certificate of completion for Attachment-Focused EMDR Basic Training from the Parnell Institute. You will not receive a certificate of completion from EMDRIA. You will also be invited to become a Parnell Institute member and be listed in our “Find A Therapist” directory on our website.
Following completion of our Attachment-Focused EMDR Basic Training, you will be eligible to continue on to certification in Attachment-Focused EMDR.
We, at the Parnell Institute, are in the process of putting in place our own certification in Attachment-Focused EMDR which will replace our EMDRIA affiliation beginning in 2022. Given the times we are living in, our Attachment-Focused EMDR is more important than ever, emphasizing a client-centered, relational approach to healing trauma that recognizes the uniqueness and complexity of each person.
We’ll have more to share about our certification requirements and benefits soon.
