Bio
I am a licensed marriage and family therapist specializing in trauma treatment for adolescents and adults. My areas of practice also include anxiety, depression and substance abuse. My approach is to help clients build upon their strengths, develop strategies to manage immediate challenges, and examine and process the root causes of struggles they are experiencing. Each client has unique needs and goals, and the techniques I use vary accordingly. These techniques include EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Family Systems, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
I earned my B.A. in Sociology from Colorado College and M.A. in Psychology from Saybrook University. Prior to starting private practice, I worked as an individual and family therapist in school settings and residential treatment centers with adolescents, families, and transition-age youth. When I’m not working, I enjoy writing, singing and spending time in nature with loved ones.
