I am an Integrative and certified EMDR Trauma therapist, completing my Attachment-Focused EMDR training through the Parnell EMDR Institute. I’m deeply rooted in a holistic model which includes mind-psyche, embodiment, spirit, community and the environment as a whole. I’m informed by clinical and spiritual orientations ranging from somatic, relational, intersubjective, Internal Family Systems, psychodynamic, Buddhist Psychology, transpersonal and depth psychotherapies. I have a long-standing 28 year Vipassana Buddhist meditation practice. I received my masters in Psychology with a Somatic Concentration from JFK, Orinda, CA in 1997. As a member of the LGBTQIA community and a Pacific Islander, I know that both trauma and healing can come from our individual and cultural histories. I welcome anyone in search of emotional, psychological, somatic, and spiritual healing and seek to provide a place where people of all cultures, genders and sexual identities can feel heard and affirmed for who they are. I work with a wide range of concerns; specialties include people with histories of trauma: veterans of war, childhood sexual abuse, rape, domestic violence, abusive family of origin, inherited & developmental trauma, institutional traumas (e.g. jails, state hospitals, foster care), Death & Dying, terminal illness, substance abuse, process addictions such as sex, relationships, and spending, people looking to integrate spiritual and/or transpersonal experiences, people of color and members of the LGBTQIA community.
