Bio
In 1998, I graduated from USC with a Master of Social Work Degree and a focus on Mental Health Services. I worked for Los Angeles County for a total of 14 years working with adults, children and families.
In 2007, I started a private practice in Redondo Beach, CA. while continuing to work for LA County. I became interested in learning more about trauma and addictions, and how they affect families. My focus was on receiving trainings to learn more about trauma and how to help those who needed to resolve their own trauma. My specialties are working with individuals, who are struggling with any addiction, trauma, compulsivity, phobias, anxiety, depression, sexuality and medical or relational trauma using my trauma tools.
In 2012, upon completion of my addiction training, I started working with Addicts and Partners. In 2013 after leaving Los Angeles County, I focused my attention to my private practice and worked a few days a week at an intensive outpatient treatment center where they specialize in Addiction.
As a Certified EMDR Therapist, I use Attachment-Focused EMDR and oftentimes incorporate Somatic Therapy which involves working with the Nervous System pacing the work, tracking resiliency and deepening the processing.
