Bio

Gretchen is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has been working in the field of mental health and addictions for 14 years and specializes in working with individuals who have been impacted by trauma. She utilizes a strengths-based, eclectic approach to therapy and frequently draws from Attachment, Systems and Psychodynamic theories.
She is trained in several evidence-based treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Gretchen has also completed advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and has additional training in Attachment-Focused EMDR. She frequently uses EMDR in therapy to assist her clients in resolving trauma or self-limiting beliefs.
