I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, with an MSW from the University of Hawaii and have been practicing psychotherapy for over 20 years in Mar Vista California, working with youth, adults, couples, and families, as well as supervising and training hundreds of therapists toward licensure.

I am a Certified EMDR therapist utilizing an Attachment Focused approach in treating issues related to trauma. (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) AF-EMDR is not just for those facing severe traumatic events, it is also effective for issues related to depression, relationship struggles, attachment wounds, anxiety disorders, creative blocks, and addressing the negative beliefs that prevent you from achieving your full potential.

I also utilize an evidenced-based practice called Internal Family Systems (IFS), which is an integrative approach that views the mind as made up of relatively discrete subpersonalities, each with its own unique viewpoint and qualities. These aspects of self can be in conflict with one another. IFS produces promising outcomes for clients experiencing anxiety, depression, and issues with self-concept by identifying and transforming the individual parts into more harmony.

My background spans the public and private sectors which includes developing programs and facilitating workshops for individuals struggling with addiction and creating supportive mental health programs for the Los Angeles dual diagnosis homeless population, and foster youth transitioning out of the foster care system.
