Colleen has offered therapeutic counselling and psychotherapy in West Yorkshire since the 1980s. She works with a wide range of difficulties including depression & anxiety, eating disorders & obesity, relationship problems, stress & anxiety, low self esteem, bereavement, traumatic stress disorders and chronic mental health problems. Prior to retraining in EMDR and Attachment Focused EMDR, Colleen’s psychotherapy training was psychodynamic in origin. She is an accredited EMDR Europe Accredited Practitioner, a member of The United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and is an HCPC Registered Counselling Psychologist (Health & Care Professions Council).
Although now in private practice, Colleen’s background spans the voluntary sector, (RELATE, The Women’s Counselling & Therapy Service, NHS Eating Disorders Clinic (Salford) plus psychology research and teaching (University of Bolton). She has also worked as a volunteer counsellor with Bradford SOLACE, an organisation offering therapeutic support to asylum seekers and refugees in the UK.
In addition to her psychotherapy practice, Colleen is also an Alexander Technique Teacher (MSTAT).
