I believe that our moments of greatest struggle can also hold the most potential for growth and self-discovery. The struggles we face are an invitation from ourselves to deepen and grow. I am dedicated to providing a safe and supportive space where you can begin to explore what is causing distress in your life. Together we can illuminate your unique strengths and pave a path toward greater self-understanding and ease.
I offer psychotherapy and EMDR for individual adults and teens. I am passionate about EMDR as I have experienced it’s power both personally and professionally. I also offer specialized services for prenatal and postpartum women as well as therapy to support parents with young children age 0-5. Understanding the poignance and importance of this period, I have spent many years studying how to best support early parent-child relationships. All of my early training was in the field of attachment. As an intern I trained at UCSF’s Infant-Parent Program, where I recieved extensive supervision and coursework in attachment and early trauma. Later, I worked at the Early Childhood Mental Health Program in Richmond, CA, doing infant-parent psychotherapy, which therapy the supports the relationship between children 0-3 and their caregiver.
I am psychodyamically oriented and utilize mindfulness practice as well as art therapy techniques with my clients. I am also an EMDR Consultant-in-Training with Constance Kaplan, MFT.
