Finding the right psychotherapist can seem like a daunting task. From my own experience as a client and as a therapist, I know that establishing a genuine and trusting relationship is key, because it’s within the therapeutic relationship that change, growth, and healing occur.
I combine my training in Gestalt Therapy, EMDR, Mindfulness and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy with a humanistic and systemic perspective integrating body, mind, and spirit. This integrative approach draws on my experience working with trauma, addiction, anxiety, depression, attachment, relationship issues, grief and loss, women’s issues, life transitions, couples, families and groups, as well as the creative process.
After working for several years in a Community Mental Health Clinic and an Outpatient Substance Abuse Treatment Center, I am a now in private practice in Brooklyn and Manhattan, New York, focusing on working with individuals and couples seeking to heal and transform their wounds and traumas to more fully and freely engage in their life.
I completed EMDR Basic Training with Laurel Parnell in 2016 and Level I training of Sensorimotor Psychotherapy in 2014. I received an MA in Transpersonal Counseling from Naropa University in Boulder in 2007 and completed my certification as a Gestalt Therapist from the Gestalt Institute of the Rockies in Colorado in 2009.
