Being a therapist has been a desire of mine ever since the third grade. I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and caregivers. I originally went to college to become an actor, and enjoyed a career in costume and wardrobe, I had always longed to have a deeper way of helping others. Therapy to me is like giving you a voice for your feelings. It’s gratifying to see the growth in those I help as they tackle and overcome the challenges that confronted them when they first walked in the door.
My training has consisted of working with Patrick Carnes CSAT trained Psychotherapist, Susanne Pelka, PhD. I am certified member with AACAST, American Association of Couples and Sex Therapist. I am EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) trained in Basic I & II. In addition to EMDR for help with trauma, I am certified in TRM (Trauma Resiliency Model.) My Masters in Psychology comes from Phillips Graduate Institute, and my Bachelor’s of Fine Arts come from New York University. Previously I worked in the entertainment industry and am uniquely aware of creative people and their challenges with the industry.
